Terms of Service

ZaWi HuB is an Ethiopian online marketplace where people buy, sell, rent and lease goods, property, vehicles, machinery and equipment, move cargo, post and find jobs and skilled workers, and follow public procurement notices. These terms are an agreement between you and ZaWi HuB and apply to the mobile app, the website and the Telegram Mini App. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

• You must be at least 18 years old to register.
• Anyone may browse public listings. To reveal contact details, chat, apply or post, you need a free account verified with your Ethiopian phone number and approved by our team.
• Keep one account, keep your password safe, and keep your details accurate. You are responsible for everything done under your account.
• We may refuse, suspend or revoke approval for accounts that break these terms, provide false information, or harm other users.

Transactions happen directly between buyers and sellers. ZaWi HuB is not a party to any transaction, does not own or inspect the items listed, does not guarantee the truth of any listing, and does not transfer ownership of anything. Titles, quality, safety and legality of listed items are the sole responsibility of the seller; deciding to buy, rent or hire is the sole responsibility of the buyer.

• Post only items and services that are yours to offer and legal to trade in Ethiopia.
• Describe items truthfully: real photos, real price, real condition and real location.
• Post each item once, in the correct hub and category. Duplicate and spam listings are removed.
• Listings pass through review before going live and may be edited, rejected or removed at our discretion.
• Keep your listings current: close or mark items that are sold or no longer available.

The following may never be listed or promoted:

• Stolen goods, or goods you have no right to sell.
• Counterfeit or pirated products.
• Weapons, ammunition, explosives and their components.
• Illegal drugs, controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
• Prescription medicines and unlicensed medical products.
• Government documents, IDs, licence plates, currency and financial instruments.
• Protected wildlife, wildlife products and cultural heritage items.
• Human organs, adult services, and any service that is illegal in Ethiopia.
• Recalled, hazardous or unsafe products.
• Content that is fraudulent, misleading, hateful, or infringes the rights of others.

We remove prohibited listings, may suspend the account, and may report the matter to law enforcement where the law requires it.

• Registering and basic posting are free.
• Optional paid promotions (such as Top Ad and Boost) show their price before you buy. They are paid through Ethiopian payment channels using a 7-digit payment reference written in the transfer note, and activate once the payment is verified.
• Promotion fees are not refundable once the promotion has started running, except where the law requires otherwise. If we fail to deliver a paid promotion, we refund or re-run it.
• Fees are shown in the app and may change; changes never apply retroactively.

Payments for items, rentals and services are made directly between the parties. ZaWi HuB does not hold funds in escrow and cannot reverse payments between users. Inspect the item and verify the counterparty before paying. Never pay in advance for something you have not seen, and be cautious of prices that look too good to be true.

You keep ownership of the photos and text you post. By posting, you grant ZaWi HuB a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, resize, translate and promote that content within the service and in marketing of the service, for as long as the listing exists. You confirm you have the right to grant this licence. If content infringes your rights, report it in the app or through the support channels and we will review and, where justified, remove it.

Badges such as phone verification or document verification mean the stated check was completed at a point in time. They are not a guarantee of honesty or of any transaction. Reviews and ratings reflect other users' opinions, not ours. Always apply your own judgment.

Procurement and vacancy notices are aggregated summaries provided for convenience, with a reference to their source. The official notice controls, not our summary. Always confirm deadlines, fees and requirements with the issuing organisation before acting. ZaWi HuB is not responsible for errors in, or changes to, third-party notices.

Meet in public places, inspect before paying, and report suspicious listings, messages or users with the in-app report tools. We review reports, may remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, and may share information with law enforcement where the law requires it. We may also act without a report where we detect abuse.

How we collect and use personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may change, limit or discontinue features. To the extent Ethiopian law allows, ZaWi HuB is not liable for losses arising from transactions between users, listing content, user conduct, service interruptions, or events outside our reasonable control, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the six months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights the law gives you that cannot be waived.

If your listings, content or conduct on the service cause a third-party claim against ZaWi HuB, you agree to compensate us for the losses and reasonable costs that claim causes, to the extent permitted by law.

You can delete your account at any time from the account settings; this removes your listings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as licences already granted, liability limits and indemnity) survive termination.

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app, and continued use after the change means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and disputes that cannot be settled amicably belong to the competent courts of Ethiopia.
