Key Impact: Key Performance Indicators • Loading cycles and productive operating hours. • Safe and accurate loading with minimal spillage or material loss. • Fuel efficiency and equipment availability. • Number of preventable incidents or equipment damage events. • Completion of daily inspections and operating records.

Task Breakdown: • Operate wheel or track loaders for loading, stockpiling, moving, and feeding construction materials safely and productively. • Perform pre-start checks on tyres/tracks, bucket, hydraulics, brakes, lights, alarms, and fluid levels. • Load and move aggregates, soil, spoil, and other approved materials to trucks or designated stockpiles. • Maintain safe loading practices, avoid overloading, and follow banksman and traffic-management instructions. • Keep stockpiles and loading areas organized and coordinate with truck drivers and batching/production teams. • Monitor fuel, operating hours, machine condition, and productivity; report defects promptly. • Complete daily logs and secure the machine after use.

Years of Experience: Typically 5-8 years of loader operating experience in construction, quarry, or material-handling operations.

Technical Skills: • Loader operation and bucket control. • Safe truck loading and material handling. • Awareness of blind spots, traffic routes, and exclusion zones. • Basic machine inspection and reporting. Soft Skills: Teamwork, focus, and safety discipline.

Educational Requirements: Grade 10 with Relevant operator training or vocational qualification License: valid operator license/certification where required.
