The Ethiopian Tourist Trading Enterprise (ETTE), established in 1964, is a government-owned enterprise dedicated to promoting Ethiopia’s rich cultural heritage and supporting the nation’s tourism sector. With over six decades of experience, ETTE operates a network of duty-free and duty-paid retail outlets, offering a diverse range of products including handicrafts, souvenirs, electronics, and luxury goods. The enterprise also engages in the production of traditional Ethiopian art and crafts, aiming to showcase the country’s unique cultural identity to both domestic and international customers. Through its commitment to quality service and cultural promotion, ETTE plays a significant role in enhancing Ethiopia’s image and contributing to its economic development.

• Forecast product demand based on sales data, customer trends, and seasonal variations. • Plan product assortment and ensure proper balance between handicrafts and consumer goods. • Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely stock replenishment and avoid stock-outs. • Monitor slow-moving or obsolete items, recommending promotional or clearance strategies. • Analyze competitor pricing and product mix to maintain competitive positioning. etc

Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years in merchandise planning Experience in Duty-Free, FMCG, Consumer Goods, Retail Chains, or Travel Retail is highly desirable.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Retail, Business, Management, Economics or related field Business Administration, Master’s Degree is an advantage.
