The Ethiopian Tourist Trading Enterprise (ETTE), established in 1964, is a government-owned enterprise dedicated to promoting Ethiopia’s rich cultural heritage and supporting the nation’s tourism sector. With over six decades of experience, ETTE operates a network of duty-free and duty-paid retail outlets, offering a diverse range of products including handicrafts, souvenirs, electronics, and luxury goods. The enterprise also engages in the production of traditional Ethiopian art and crafts, aiming to showcase the country’s unique cultural identity to both domestic and international customers. Through its commitment to quality service and cultural promotion, ETTE plays a significant role in enhancing Ethiopia’s image and contributing to its economic development.

• Meets with clients to identify goals and requirements for the space to be designed and outlines client design objectives. • Collaborates with other experts to achieve the functional and aesthetic needs of the space. • Analyses how people operate and move in the space, as well as patterns of use. • Conduct extensive research into fashion and costume history, as well as cultural, societal and geographic considerations • Sketch preliminary designs for costumes and present ideas to the concerned higher officials and production team • Create detailed final designs, including fabrics, colors and accessories • Work within a budget to source materials and create costumes etc

Years of Experience: 3 and above years of experience in costume product design and fit-out, fashion and interior designs and related works.

Educational Requirements: BSc Degree and above in Fashion Design, Textile design, Interior Design and Fine arts and/or related field of studies.
